While they are generally peaceful toward non-related tank mates, they can be aggressive toward other dwarf angelfish or newcomers added after they have established a territory. They are "reef safe with caution"; while many individuals coexist peacefully with corals, some may nip at stony corals (LPS), clam mantles, or zoanthids if they are underfed.
